" We who live in quite places have the opportunity to become acquinted with ourselves, to think our own thoughts & live our own lives in a way that is not possible for those keeping up with the crowd. "

meet the artist
Hi and welcome!
I'm Rebecca and a swedish watercolor artist that are strongly passionate about painting the forest and nature in a mix off loose style and details.
Art has always been in my life. With family members who have an eye for art and great artists, I inherited some of that vein.
But it wasn't until December 2019 that my interest in painting was brought to life. When the pandemic came, I was stuck for hours doing one single thing. To paint. I painted everything and tested everything. But it was watercolor that I got hooked on and realized that I actually had a talent for.
Years passed, I continued to paint but never consistently. 2023 was the year I couldn't keep denying my big dream anymore. To take my artistry seriously and follow my dream.
How I discovered my artstyle came when I became a mother for the first time 2 years ago and reality came back after a year at home with my child, I quickly realized how important nature was, and still is to me. So I started painting nature inspired paintings and realized how healing it was for me. Nature has always been a safe and calming place for me for as long as I can remember.
In a world where everything happens at an ever faster pace, nature reminds us to slow down. To find moments of peace and quiet.
That's where I find inspiration. In the process of creating beautiful paintings of my reflection of all the beautiful nature around us. A calmness I can't find anywhere else.
To be able to share my feelings and inspire others to find quiet moments in life with my art. That's my mission with my art. A gift from me to you.
Thank you for stopping by.
Love, Rebecca
